Despite hundreds of news stories to the contrary, Philip Berg's case before the Supreme Court is still alive. Webster Tarpley talks to Philip Berg who asks listeners to write to the Supreme Court and let them know that you care deeply about the constitution and consider them to be its last defense.

PRESIDENT-elect Barack Obama is being hit by shocking charges - it's against the law for him to take office because he isn't a "natural-born" U.S. citizen! A stunning lawsuit by a former government official claims the 47-year-old politician was actually born in Kenya, which would disqualify him from office. GLOBE's Special Report rips the lid off the simmering controversy. It's must reading for every American!
I purchased this at the supermarket. The information is consistent with what I have read elsewhere. Delivering good information in a suspect publication is one technique used to discredit good information. (Rent and watch “Bush’s Brain”) - ER

"Mr. President-elect, surely you know that there is a 'tempest in the teapot' brewing regarding the vault version of your birth certificate. And, only you, Sir, can bring closure to this issue. Mr. Obama, show your birth certificate for the sake of all the people who supported and voted for you... and, also to quiet (once, and for all) the skeptics, naysayers, and people who deem your Presidency 'illegitmate'"

This is Obama's birth "Certification Of Live Birth"

This document released by the Obama camp is a "certification of live birth". It is a printout of data stored in a database on official state stationary. Its a product of a "mail merge". In response to the growing controversy, the Obama camp released this document to Annenburg's FactCheck.org, an organization he had/has a relationship with.
This is an example of an original Hawaii "Certificate of Live Birth"

The document that Philip Berg and others are suing to see is the certificate of live birth (certificate, not certification). It is the document that the doctor signed at the time of his birth. The Obama camp is fighting tooth and nail to keep this from being released. Hawaiin officials say that they have seen this document and that it is a valid birth certificate but don't reveal where the document says he was born. They are playing lawyer parsing word tricks. They are spinning.
Obama could make this whole thing go away by releasing the "vault birth certificate". Instead he has allowed this matter to fall into the same Supreme Court that installed George Bush in 2000.

Opponents of Barack Obama will learn this week whether the U.S. Supreme Court will consider a lawsuit contesting the president-elect's citizenship.
Wall Street Journal Law Blog | December 3, 2008
The election is over and Barack Obama will be the official President of the United States come Jan. 20. But one anti-tax advocate from upstate New York is still clinging to the allegation raised during the campaign that Obama isn’t really a U.S. citizen, and thus isn’t legally eligible for his new job.
Robert L. Schulz, 69, chairman of We The People Foundation, took out full-page ads in Obama’s hometown newspaper, the Chicago Tribune, on Monday and Wednesday to raise questions about whether Obama’s Hawaii certificate of live birth is authentic. Today’s Tribune, in a blow-by-blow account, refutes the allegations in his ad.

As we have reported earlier in our article "Barack Obama and the Citizenship Scandal," it has been alleged that Barack Obama is ineligible to become president for two reasons: evidence has come forward that Obama was born in Kenya, not the United States as required by the Constitution (because only one of Obama's parents is an American); and even if he was born here, his mother relinquished his citizenship by marrying an Indonesian and becoming a naturalized Indonesian citizen.
This story has gained credence, separating it from Internet rumors, because Obama has reputedly hired three law firms (firms, not lawyers) to make sure that no one gets access to his birth records in Hawaii or his college transcripts from Occidental College and Harvard. (It is speculated that the transcripts will show he applied for aid to foreign students.)
Our full-page Open Letter to Mr. Obama will be published in the Chicago Tribune on both Monday, December 1, 2008 and Wednesday, December 3, 2008. It will appear in the main news section. Click here to view a copy of the final ad.
Chicago is Mr. Obama’s hometown. His transition team is operating out of the Kluczynski Federal Building in downtown Chicago. He is known to be a regular reader of the Tribune, Chicago’s principal newspaper, with a daily circulation of over a half-million readers.

Barack Obama has one election still to win before he moves into the White House, and by all accounts he’s a shoo-in. The Electoral College – that curious body created by the Founders to put one extra check on the popular vote – meets Dec. 15 to elect the president.
But across the US, a small band of Americans convinced that Mr. Obama is not a natural-born citizen, as the Constitution requires of presidents, are lobbying Democratic electors to take one last look at the notion that Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii.

You've got to hand it Philip J. Berg: he doesn't give up easily. You might recall that Philadelphia attorney Berg tried, and failed, to halt the presidential election of Barack Obama on the grounds that he is not a native-born citizen. Game over, right? Wrong.
Berg filed a writ of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court in late October, asking that the highest court review the decision of the U.S. District Court in Pennsylvania. The latter court dismissed Berg's claims because he lacked standing to bring them. Standing requires plaintiffs to prove they are directly affected by the issue at hand, with evidence of injury that is concrete and particular. In its decision the district court said Berg "does not, and we believe cannot, establish injury in fact." It also dismissed his claims as frivolous.

A case that challenges President-elect Barack Obama's name on the 2008 election ballot citing questions over his citizenship has been scheduled for a "conference" at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Conferences are private meetings of the justices at which they review cases and decide which ones to accept for formal review. This case is set for a conference Dec. 5, just 10 days before the Electoral College is scheduled to meet to make formal the election of Obama as the nation's next president.

Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes joined the fight to release President-elect Barack Obama's birth certificate this week, suing to keep the California Electoral College from meeting.
The suit is the latest of many lawsuits filed requesting the birth certificate, a document that Mr. Obama has so far refused to produce in court. The lawsuit, filed by Mr. Keyes and the American Independent Party (AIP) in the California Superior Court in Sacramento, requests the court to bar the secretary of State from certifying the names of electors to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, R-Calif., and from transmitting a certificate of election each presidential elector.

"In 1977 the family of Martin Luther King engaged an attorney and friend, Dr. William Pepper, to investigate a suspicion they had. They no longer believed that James Earl Ray was the killer. For their peace of mind, for an accurate record of history, and out of a sense of justice they conducted a two decade long investigation. The evidence they uncovered was put before a jury in Memphis, TN, in November 1999. 70 witnesses testified under oath, 4,000 pages of transcripts described that evidence, much of it new. It took the jury 59 minutes to come back with their decision that exonerated James Earl Ray, who had already died in prison. The jury found that Lloyd Jowers, owner of Jim’s Grill, had participated in a conspiracy to kill King. The evidence showed that the conspiracy included J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI, Richard Helms and the CIA, the military, the Memphis police department, and organized crime.
