If you wonder how this could happen, watch the movie The Corporation
So here's the down and dirty. Chinese companies have been adding a poison to their food products to make them test higher for protein and earn them more cash money. Of course the problem with this is that the food is consumed by human beings (and other warm blooded animals) which leads to kidney failure. Without functioning kidneys, we get sick and die.
The Chinese government to their credit pulled all potentially poisonous food products from their store shelves as did every other country in the world except for one, ours where they are sold at a reduced cost at super this or that mart.
Honestly, I don't think I can take much more of this. Enough already!

Melamine already in global food chain
"
But while scientists say it's not dangerous to ingest small amounts, they cannot be definitive because there have been no tests on melamine's effects in humans. Until the contaminated baby formula became public in September, there was never any reason to.
That leaves consumers worldwide, particularly parents, worried about food products from China, and even those made elsewhere with ingredients imported from Chinese companies."

Chinese melamine scandal widens
"The toxic chemical melamine is probably being routinely added to Chinese animal feed, state media has reported. Correspondents say the unusually frank reports in several news outlets are an admission that contamination could be widespread throughout the food chain."

Nestle sends experts for melamine tests in China
"Dairy products contaminated with an industrial chemical have sickened tens of thousands of children in China and are blamed in the deaths of four infants. Dairy suppliers are said to have added melamine, a chemical used to make plastics and fertilizer, to watered-down milk to dupe quality control tests and make the product appear rich in protein.

Scary Halloween Treats: Keeping an Eye Out for Melamine
"The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled Sherwood Brand’s Pirate’s Gold Milk Chocolate Coins, which were made in China, because they tested positive for melamine. The FDA maintains that the product was only distributed in Canada, but that they are still keeping an eye on the situation."

Halloween Candy May Be Tainted
"Worldwide, melamine has been discovered in a variety of candy products, resulting in numerous product recalls. For example, Nestle, the Korean-owned manufacturer of Kit Kat, recalled a batch of mini Kit Kats at the request of the Korea Food and Drug Administration in early October after multiple statements indicating their candies produced in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong were clear of melamine contamination."

China milk scandal companies apologize
"The scandal has savaged the companies' share prices and prompted Seattle-based coffee chain Starbucks Corp to pull Mengniu milk from its 300-plus stores last month. Chinese health officials last week said that nearly 10,700 infants and children were still in hospital after drinking toxic milk and formula. More than 36,000 children had left hospital after being treated."

Take this seriously and pass it along
In China, ANYTHING made with Chinese-manufactured milk powder before September 14th was PULLED from their store shelves.
In the US, this garbage is still being sold!
Foods at risk: ANY food manufactured in China and potentially any food containing milk powder. US food manufacturers imported millions of pounds of milk powder from China before September 14th. The FDA continues to allow to be sold.
This includes chocolate, cookies, cakes, and even things like packaged macaroni and cheese.
"In 1977 the family of Martin Luther King engaged an attorney and friend, Dr. William Pepper, to investigate a suspicion they had. They no longer believed that James Earl Ray was the killer. For their peace of mind, for an accurate record of history, and out of a sense of justice they conducted a two decade long investigation. The evidence they uncovered was put before a jury in Memphis, TN, in November 1999. 70 witnesses testified under oath, 4,000 pages of transcripts described that evidence, much of it new. It took the jury 59 minutes to come back with their decision that exonerated James Earl Ray, who had already died in prison. The jury found that Lloyd Jowers, owner of Jim’s Grill, had participated in a conspiracy to kill King. The evidence showed that the conspiracy included J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI, Richard Helms and the CIA, the military, the Memphis police department, and organized crime.
